KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 5): Top Glove Corp Bhd's newly opened Top Glove Global Doctors Medical and Dental Clinic with Global Doctors Hospital has been certified with Germany-based TEMOS international quality healthcare certification.

According to Top Glove, the TEMOS certificate is the first and only internationally approved and accepted certification body for tourism medicine and medical tourism/travel from Europe.

It certifies hospitals, clinics, dental centres, in vitro fertilisation (IVF) clinics, rehabilitation centres, eye care clinics and medical travel coordinators globally to increase the quality of medical and non-clinical services for international patients.

The clinic located in Top Glove Tower in Setia Alam, Selangor, is also Asia's first ambulatory care centre certified with TEMOS, which stands for 'trust, effective medicine, optimised services', the group said in a statement today.

Clinical service focused on preventive healthcare, consultation, diagnostic, rehabilitation, emergency and full-tier dental would be offered to Top Glove staff, and neighbouring communities.

The award was presented by Germany-based TEMOS International GmbH founder and chief executive officer Dr Claudia Mika to Top Glove executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai, and Global Doctors Group chairman Datuk Dr Sharifah Fauziah Alhabshi.

"This is truly a proud moment for us all. I am confident that our TEMOS certification will enable us to become a preferred healthcare service provider and inspire us to continue delivering excellence in all we do," Lim said.

At 11.26am, Top Glove shares remained unchanged at RM5.67 with 188,400 shares traded for a market capitalisation of RM7.11 billion. The stock has grown 13.91% in a year.
