KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 14): Top Glove Corp Bhd has been included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024 for the third year in a row.
In a statement on Wednesday, the glove maker said the inclusion underscores its commitment to sustainable practices and responsible corporate citizenship.
The S&P Global Sustainability honour is accorded exclusively to companies within the top 15% of their respective industries, based on the number of achievements and a minimum corporate sustainability assessment (CSA) score of above 30.
Additionally, qualifying companies rank among the top 30% of their industry’s top-performing companies.
Top Glove said its score was also among the highest out of the 13 companies within the Health Care Equipment Supplies industry category globally in the CSA, as at the score date of Feb 7, 2024.
The company said out of over 9,400 companies extensively evaluated in its 2023 CSA, only 759 were selected for inclusion in the Yearbook.
Top Glove managing director Lim Cheong Guan said the achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of employees, stakeholders, and partners who share the group's commitment to sustainability.
“As we celebrate this meaningful milestone, we remain steadfast in our dedication to lead by example in driving positive change and creating a more sustainable future for generations to come,” he said.
Lim said the inclusion in the Sustainability Yearbook reaffirms Top Glove’s position as a front runner in sustainable business practices, while spotlighting its commitment to advancing sustainability initiatives and catalysing positive change.
