COVID 19 VACCINATION PROGRAMME FOR OUR WORKFORCE
- Top Glove has commenced onsite PIKAS COVID Vaccination Programme in July 2021 for the 1st and 2nd dose, and Booster Dose Vaccination Programme in February 2022
- As of 31 August 2022, there are total 18,823 or 99.9% of TG global workfoce were fully vaccinated, and total 16,134 or 85.7% of workforce had received booster dose
BIWEEKLY COVID SCREENING AMONG EMPLOYEES
- All Top Glove Malaysia factories conducted biweekly random COVID screening among employees from September 2021 until February 2022. This is aligning with the government’s instruction during National Recovery Phases
INTENSIFIED DISINFECTION
- Intensified disinfection of all premises including hostel, factories and building exteriors
- Disinfection of worker transportation prior to each trip
PROVISION OF ESSENTIAL PPE
- All emplyees are given PPE including face masks and gloves
- Hand sanitisers are placed at all common areas
DESIGNATED ISOLATION HOSTEL FOR WORKERS
- Workers presenting COVID-19 symptoms or in close contact with a COVID cases will be quarantined at an isolation hostel for 14 days
- During this period, all meals will be provided and health examinations carried out, while workers continue to receive a full salary
WORK FROM HOME (WFH)
- WFH implemented during the MCO with 2 groups alternating between working from home and in the office
RISK ASSESSMENT AND TRACKING
(HELPLINE & CARELINE)
- Developed a digital platform to collect daily feedback on employee health and declarations of contact with COVID-19 cases
- Feedback is monitored by a specialised team and at-risk employees are required to self-quarantine and work from home
- 24/7 helpline & careline is available for consultation on COVID-19 inquiries
FOOD SUPPLY & HYGEINE ASSURANCE
- Planning for adequate supply of food for 4 weeks at factory & hostel canteens in the event of an enhanced MCO
- Self-service at Top Glove canteens is prohibited and food is required to be pre-packed or served by the caterer
- Catarer is required to wear face mask and gloves when packing or serving food
DISINFECTION SPRAY PRIOR TO ENTERING HOSTEL
- Workers pass through automated disinfection sprinklers (with antiseptic) prior to entering their hostels
SOCIAL DISTANCING
- Social distancing with a 1-meter gap implemented at all office & factory premises
- Dining tables at our factory canteens and pantry barricaded to ensure social distancing at meal times
- Social distancing effected in worker transportation with capacity per trip reduced by 50%
CONTINUOUS TRAINING & EDUCATION
- Regular communication to all employees in various native languages on the importance of discipline and observing COVID-19 preventive SOPs
- Continuously encouraging employees to practice TG 5 Healthy Wells principles to stay fit and healthy
LEVERAGING TECHNOLOGY FOR SAFE COMMUNICATION
- Meetings conducted using online platforms during the Movement Control Order (MCO)
MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (MCO) HELPLINE
- Internal MCO Helpline activated with dedicated personnel designated to assist employees in the event of any queries at police roadblocks or by local authorities
24/7 MONITORING & ENFORCEMENT OF MCO SOPs
- Auxiliary Police & Hostel Warden conduct patrols to ensure workers complety with MCO requirements
MEAL SUBSIDY
- RM5 subsidy for daily meals
- Meals catered by in-house canteens/panel caterers, ordered online and delivered to the office/factory
Top Glove has further improved the measures it has taken to ensure employee safety and welfare to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
