GUESTS THRONG TOP GLOVE’S 2017 CHINESE NEW YEAR OPEN HOUSE

Shah Alam, Monday, 13 February 2017 – Top Glove Corporation Bhd’s Executive Chairman Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai and his wife, Puan Sri Tong Siew Bee recently hosted a Chinese New Year Open House, at the impressive TG Grand Ballroom in Top Glove Tower.

Held on Saturday, 11 February 2017, the event was in appreciation of the contributions and support of its employees and business associates. The Open House was split over 3 sessions and drew an attendance of nearly 1,500 guests in total, with a distinguished VIP guest list that included YAM Tengku Laksamana Selangor, Tengku Sulaiman, Minister of Transport YB Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong, Minister in the Prime Minister’s office YB Datuk Paul Low, Tan Sri and Puan Sri Samsudin Osman, Tan Sri and Puan Sri Sidek, Tan Sri and Puan Sri Saw Choo Boon, Tan Sri Danny Ooi, Tan Sri Professor Dr. Mohd Amin Jalaludin, as well as ambassadors from various embassies.

The festivities kicked off with a spirited Lion Dance by the skilful performers from Persatuan Tarian Singa dan Naga Kun Seng Keng. Guests were also treated to the melodic sounds of Chinese orchestra, Yi Xiang Ler as they enjoyed a sumptuous buffet spread. A rousing “Lou Sang” ceremony was the highlight of the celebrations while lucky draws were also conducted throughout the day.

On hand to deliver Welcome Remarks were the company’s Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai and Managing Director, Mr Lee Kim Meow.

Tan Sri Dr Lim said, “I always look forward to our CNY open house, as it gives me the chance to meet with so many colleagues, business associates and friends, all at the same time”. He added that the purpose of the open house was “to get together and to show our appreciation for your past and future support and cooperation, to ensure Top Glove continues to grow healthily”.

Meanwhile, Mr Lee remarked that the Year of the Rooster signifies a fresh beginning and is about moving forward boldly into a future yet unknown. Themed “Happy & Healthy”, Top Glove’s Chinese New Year Open House is a highly-anticipated yearly affair for the world’s largest rubber glove manufacturer.
